Mt. Mahawu Volcano and Tangkoko National Park
Transfer
by private car to Tomohon and drive through the vegetable
plantations to Rurukan village at about 1000 meter above
sea level to start trekking the Mt. Mahawu, an active volcano
at altitude of 1.311 meter, for about 1 hour to reach the
rim passing the onion, cowl and potatoes field, later slightly
and wet forest. But the way up will be easy going, except
after rain. The last 10 minutes to the top are a little
bit more climb and usually you will sweat a little bit more
according to temperature. But you will be highly appreciated
from the view around. Inside the crater is a steaming emerald-green
lake ringed with yellow sulphur deposits. You will see Manado
with the islands before, plenty other volcanoes. Tomohon
it self and Tondano town with the lake Tondano. After coming
back from the volcanoes we will visit the famous Hot spring
at Bukit Kasih, bath your self, and your tired from Volcanoes
will be disappear. Some of the local people do that for
their health, and make your body feel better.
Tangkoko
Rainforest Tour
is one of the best rainforest with its flora and fauna,
mountainous area. Tangkoko is one of the spectacular nature
reserve with the possibility to see rare animals such as
Macaca Nigra, Hornbill, Snake, Blake Ape, and the smallest
monkey in the world " Tarsius Spectrum "
Minahasa
Land Tour :
Start
from Manado city at 9 AM at the place you are. Using a special
Air Conditioning Coach only for you for this land tour.
First Stop is at hill of Tinoor Village for you to take
a picture of phanorama of Manado City, including Bunaken,
Manado Tua, Siladen, Mantehage and Nain islands. Second
Stop is at Woloan Village which is the place for seeing
the local people build the Minahasa Traditional Houses.
Third Stop is at Lake Linow Color. The fourth Stop is at
Japannese Caves. Lunch. The Fiveth Stop is at Lake Tondano.
And at the end you will see the Stone Graves or the oldest
cemetry of Minahasa people.
