Rental Car in Manado , North Sulawesi

In Manado city it is hard to find a car to rent and drive by yourself. Mostly all the car owners will include a driver for their own good reasons. To hire a car in Manado, start from 8 AM - 7 PM will cost normally Rp 450.000 or around US$ 55 excluding fuel. The kind of car is standard car only, Xenia Daihatsu or Toyoto Avansa. If you use a better car like Big INOVA Kijang, price will be Rp 550.000 excluding fuel. It is really depends of what kind of car you will use. If you use the car more than 7 PM, they will charge Rp 70.000 for extra 1 hour. To hire the car for 3 or 4 days, can be arranged and bargain the price too. The price will be different ( higher normally ) if you plan to go outside Manado like to GORONTALO, KOTAMOBAGU or CENTRAL SULAWESI ( long distance ). You are able to use the car to go see Tangkoko National Park ( the small monkey - Tarsius ) or you are able to use the car for the Minahasa Tour trip to see : Lake Linow color, Japanese caves, Stone Graves, Tondano Lake, Mt Mahawu Trekking, Pagoda Tower, Minahasa Building houses, etc. But we still recommended you to use the GUIDE. Otherwise you will maybe not happy with this tour, cause evan you go to all interesting places but you do not know the history, you will not satisfied. Cause most drivers do not speak English very well. So if you go for a TOUR, we strongly advice you use a guide with a driver or use a local travel agent in Manado, so you will have proper guiding and responbility by the agent.
