Holidays in Manado
There are four types of holidays in Indonesia: religious,
national, international and commemorative. Ones
that are designated tanggal merah (literally
red date, or a date that is designated in red on
a calendar) signify national holidays when government
offices, schools and most businesses inlcuding banks
are closed.
